Lafia—The Nasarawa State Government has
banned the activities of Ombatse Cult
group in the state.
This was revealed, yesterday, during the
on-gong hearing by the Commission of
Inquiry into the activities of Ombatse which
reportedly massacred over 120 security
men including policemen and operatives of
the Department of State Services, DSS, in
Lafia, the state capital.
Consequent upon the information, the
Ombatse group also said that it had
suspended its spiritual activities due to the
Legal Notice number 4 proscribing it in the
state.
The Legal Adviser to Ombatse, Mr. Zamania
Alumaga who stood before the commission
headed by Justice Folanyo, denied any
involvement by his clients in the killing of
the security operatives.
