7 killed as Boko Haram invade Borno villages

Seven people were killed on Saturday
when gunmen, suspected to be members
of the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram,
attacked Gava west, a village behind
Mandara Mountains in Gwoza, Borno
State.
Many houses were also burnt as members
of the sect overran the entire area. The
villagers are said to be on the run and
heading for Cameroon.
Reports from the area also indicated the
fleeing villagers met a road block
mounted by some members of the sect at
Kirawa while only the residents of the
communities behind the hill were allowed
to pass the blockade.
