Ruggedman Signs New Act

Mbryo, aka "The Special One", is the first artiste to be signed on to Rugged Records and Ruggedman is extremely excited at the prospects of the young act and has taken a back step in his music in order to promote his new act.
Mbryo was born Prince Maxwell Oghenemine Omoferi to the family of Rev. Omoferi Akpedeye in Warri, Delta State.
Ruggedman signed Mbryo onto his Rugged Records label because he was impressed by his performance after monitoring him for a while. Together, they released a collaborative album in 2012 entitled Money Making Music.
Having been very active on the Nigerian music scene for more than a decade now, Michael Okechukwu Stevens a.k.a Ruggedman, is quite happy to be nurturing someone he feels will take over from him at some point.
"Our industry is growing very fast and quite a large number of young acts impress me on daily basis. I have been part of a number of talent hunts and I know the quality that can be discovered from the grassroots.
"Having been part of Star Quest for a number of years, I know there are so many young acts waiting to be discovered and I am going to continue to find them. Mbryo is just the first act.
"I am very confident in his act because of his talent and dedication to work. He is definitely going to be a great artiste by God's grace," he said.
An excited Mbryo said, "I thank God for bringing me this far. Being an artiste demands a lot of commitment and hard work. I am going to give it my all to make it work."
