A maintenance worker alerted the authorities
after she smelled a pungent

 4 year old boy in an apartment with the dead
body of his mother,report shows that the
mother have been dead for five days
it was said that the boy rubbed lotion on
his mother in an attempt to help her

the boy told the police he tried to get
food from the refrigerator but couldn't
open it

the county's medical examiner is currently
conducting autopsy on the woman's
body to determine the time and cause of death
