Eminem and Rihana breaks history

Rihanna and Eminem are not only
celebrating a No.1 single this weekend, but
also breaking a record.
The pair, who left One Direction behind
them at No.4 with their new track Story Of
My Life, stormed in at the top spot with
their first collaboration since Love The Way
You Lie in 2010, The Monster .
The chart position means that Rihanna is
one of just three acts to have scored a No.1
in the UK Singles Charts seven times over
seven consecutive years. The only other two
acts to do so are Elvis Presley and The
Beatles.
Meanwhile, over in the UK Album Chart,
Arcade Fire knocked Katy Perry's Prism off
the top spot with their epic double-album
Reflektor.
James Blunt's comeback album Moon
Landing was in at No.3, while Lorde's debut
Pure Heroine made it to No.4, right ahead
of Arctic Monkeys with AM , who were
nominated for a Barclaycard Mercury Prize
last week.
ON 29 OCTOBER 2013, WE WROTE...
Eminem has unveiled his new duet with
Rihanna for the first time.
The track, which is taken from the rapper's
forthcoming studio album The Marshall
Mathers LP 2 , premiered online yesterday.
The Monster is the second time the pair
have performed together on a song, the first
being in 2010 when they released Love The
Way You Lie .
Lyrics include: "I'm friends with the monster
that's under my bed/Get along with the
voices inside of my head/You're trying to
save me stop holding your breath."
Eminem's new album is set to be released
on 5 November 2013.

ON 11 OCTOBER 2013, WE WROTE...
Eminem has just released the tracklist for
his forthcoming comeback album, The
Marshall Mathers LP 2 . And guess what. He's
drafted in a few of his industry buddies to
guest-star on a couple of tracks, too.
It will come as no surprise to some that the
rapper has once again enlisted the help of
Rihanna , who features on Monster , Kendrick
Lamar and singer/songwriter Skylar Grey.
But did anyone guess Nate Ruess, the lead
singer from .Fun would be a shoe-in for a
hip-hop collaboration?
RANDOM.
On the production side of things? An all-star
team featuring Rick Rubin, Dr. Dre and DJ
Premier.
Rihanna hinted at the team-up in September
when she tweeted: "Recored a #monster
hook for one of my favourite artists! And
that's all I can give you…[sic]"
No, we're not sure what 'recored' involves,
either.
The star unveiled his brand new music video
to the single Survival earlier this week. The
track serves as the follow-up to Bezerk ,
which was released on 9 September 2013.
The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is Eminem's
eighth studio album and is the sequel to the
2000 classic The Marshall Mathers LP. It has
similar artwork and everything.
The record is set for an explosive release on
5 November 2013.
