I did my best for Jonathan – Sacked NASS Adviser, Emordi

Former Special Adviser to President
Goodluck Jonathan on National Assembly
matters, Senator Joy Emordi, says she did
her best for the President while in office.
Emordi, who served in the capacity for two
years, was sacked on Friday, alongside
Presidential Adviser on NEPAD, Tunji
Olagunju.
In a statement obtained by DailyPost in
Abuja yesterday, Emordi said she recorded
over 100 achievements, as no executive bill
was thrown out.
She added that during her tenure, 99.9
percent of all presidential nominees were
confirmed by the Senate.
Emodi expressed gratitude to the
Senate President, David Mark and
Speaker of the House of Representatives,
Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, and all federal
lawmakers for the “immeasurable
cooperation” and support they accorded
her.
“I thank God for the privilege to serve our
President, Goodluck Jonathan as well as
distinguished Senators and honourable
members who showed me great solidarity
every step of the way.
“Their cooperation ensured that, among
others, no executive bill was thrown out.
99.9 percent of all presidential nominees
were confirmed. We made the historic
passage of the 2013 budget possible.
“I call on the Executive and National
Assembly members to continue on the path
of harmonious executive-legislature
relations in the overall interest of the
nation,” she advised.
