Tyra Banks sues weave-on companies

Former supermodel and talk show host,
Tyra Banks, is filing a $10 million wig
companies against several wig companies
in America.
The 39-year-old America’s Next Top Model
host is unhappy with 10 wig companies in
Los Angeles for using her name and image
to sell their hairpieces.
One of the companies being sued is Pink
Lace Hair Goods, which features three Tyra
inspired hairpieces on its website,
according to the Los Angeles Superior
Court.
Another wig in question is called the Tyra
Banks inspired human hair wig, and costs
$300.
To further drive home the importance of
her trademark, the suit includes all 11
pages of the star’s IMDB profile – just to
drive home Tyra’s greatness. The
documents also pay homage to her
magazine cover girl days.
Earlier this year, singer Rihanna won a
lawsuit she filed against Topshop, after the
clothing giant used her photograph on a T-
shirt.
The photo was taken by a freelancer on the
set of her ‘We Found Love’ music video but
was not signed off by the star.
Arcadia, the company that owns Topshop,
was ordered to pay Rihanna’s legal fees of
£919,000.
